    '92 American Roadster

I've been offered a '92 American Roadster with 27,000 miles in excellent condition at a price that seems favorable. I know that they only made 250 of these, but they don't seem to have really caught on as collectibles. What is one of these worth in todays market?

    Thanks,
    JohnA

P.S. This one is a stick.

    Another one...Not mine

Triple Silver, 14k miles, 5spd, 17" turbo wheels, Turbo Brakes & suspension, rear seat delete (storage compartment)...very clean and very well maintained.

Located Costa Mesa, Dealer car, $68,500 I imagine there's room to talk...
(edit: I've seen this car in the metal and it looks great... if anyone's interested, I can go take a closer look, drive it, etc etc. Just let me know, happy to do this for anyone. It's part of what I do...)

You almost never see these things on the market however - over the past two years I've only come across 3 examples...I'm not convinced 250 cars were actually built...Does anyone know for sure? (It's late, and I'm too lazy right now to go look up the production numbers myself, sorry )

I always thought they were an interesting concept...

Just a data point - hope it helps, John.
    Cheers

There is one here local ( Northern California) in Eggshell with Navy blue top/interior with 78K miles. Original owner. $27K. I agree, they have never seemed to catch on....but usually are priced like they have.

I would fair to say that most of the sane postings of '92 Roadsters follow 965 3.3 pricing; fairly staying to the bottom end of that price spectrum. I would tend to say that they should be about 20% less than a simmilar spec '94 Speedster.
