    Can anyone tell me the year of these seats?

    Can anyone tell me the year of these seats from the following pictures?

    They look like '72/'73 seats but they don't have the seatback-release lever at the top of the side hinge ... is it on the inside of the seat (nearest to the central tunnel) ?

    If so, the driver's & passenger's seats have been swapped.

    I think if they have the wire for the seat belt they are for a 73...Ron

    Yes, they are reversed and the lever is on the inside. Not sure about the wire for the seatbelt. Not really sure what to look for.

    I am going to be putting these up for sale soon and want to be accurate with my description.

    I think the wire Ron is referring to is for the seatbelt warning - have a look under the seat. If you can see an electrical (usually 'curly') wire then that will also indicate '72/'73 seats.

    Thanks guys. They do appear to be from a '73, since I found a couple of wires and a clip under each seat. I think the wires were blue and white, but don't quote me on that.

    Black side plate means 72/73 seat belt warning light was USA only I think but definately only 73

    My 72 has a seat belt waring sensor also. Just another data point.

    I've had a couple of '72 T's that I imported from the US & both had the seatbelt warning wires under the seats.
