Wtb 911 s fender oil cooler

    Hi:

Searching for the fender mounted cooler for my 1973 carrera rs. Not the trombone cooler, but regular finned cooler.

    John,

The ones at Stoddard are '69-'71 small radiator type 'small fitting' coolers... and yes, they are quite expensive. All coolers and hard lines '71 and before had small fittings.
If you want to be period specific, and use period correct hard line for an RS, what you need is a one year only '72 small radiator type 'large fitting' cooler. All external coolers and hard lines from '72 on had the larger fittings...

There are however work-arounds from small to large fittings with adaptors... any way you go you're looking at a 'bit of change'......

Over 15 years ago I put a '72 big fitting small radiator cooler with '74 (and later) lines (with the thermostat just ahead of the rear wheel) on my 73S.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers

    Thanks Stacy and chuck:

Stoddard wants $4,590.00 new. Chuck's information changes what I need. Thanks, Chuck. That information was very helpful.

I need to get further into this and try to locate the parts for this new setup.

If anyone has some of the parts, please give a shout
