    Factory Kardex

Anyone have an interpertation for this form in English? Also, would anyone know what the 911 deluxe R.S. ex 13/66 or {13166}would indicate. Too, I reside in Nevada and tried to get a previous history from them (DMV) and was told they could not give out that sort of info though it is available to THEM...Are there any other ways to get this info...Thanks,Cliff

Thanks for posting the Kardex, I didn't want to. Part of this has been covered in this thread:
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=24445
Still, we do not seem to know why the Kardex shows it to be a 1967 model when the VIN tells us it should be late production 1966.

Block letters on glove box lid

Also the original deck lid has the seperate 67` block letters & 911 block numerals ..Any of you Gents know where I may find the previous owners other than DMV ? Nevada says thy will not supply it per privacy issues..

Three point seat belts! does that mean they have the shoulder & lap belt?

Wow, that's a car that is RIGHT on the transition between the model year. I've never seen block letters on a wooden dash, is there any way they were later added? Are the letters the same height as the ones on the decklid?

I am aware of, at least, one car (I have the Kardex) made a few days earlier than the subject car. That Kardex also reads' 1967 Model deluxe R.S. ex 13166 (pretty sure it is a 1 not a / ). Both these cars look like 1966 year models to me, that is their appearences, features and their chassis numbers make them 1966 year models. So, the 1967 Model Deluxe R.S. 13166 REALLY is puzzle. As I recall, my "source in the Alps" said there were a few others made around this period with the same note.
No one yet has come up with a good explanation. Perhaps, the chassis itself (not the trim) had some changes in 1967 and those (small, hard to detect) chassis changes are on these cars? I really don't know. If we could figure the 13166 that might tell us a lot.

There is a way to get the original owners name.

Attend the next event where Porsche will bring their Kardex CD like they did at RRIII.

The name of the first owner will be shown because if you look closely to your picture you will notice that the name was blocked off w/ whitening stuff (privacy reasons). On the original scan you will find the name.

    Good luck

The 911 numerals on the deck are like the ones on a traditional 911 deck( larger than the dash) & placed center of the grill.
