Opinions needed; Brightwork vs. Black & RS bumper vs S bumper

I need help. I have purchased all the components needed to convert my 73 Hot Rod from Black trim to chrome/aluminum. I have also purchased an S Bumper to replace the RS bumper on the front. The goal is to return the car closer to its T roots.

    2 questions:

    1] Brightwork vs Black Trim

    2] S vs RS bumper

Is saw this car at Hershey, very nice. In my opinion, I like them in chrome trim, Bumpers, generally I prefer S vs. RS, that said, with the duck tail, it has the right look. The bumper is probably the simplest thing to change, If you have a S bumper you could always paint it and see how you like it.

By the way, your Houndstooth sportseats, convinced me that was the way to go with mine, very cool.

    Go bright!!

With the Duck tail i'd stick with the RS bumper.

Love the car by the way.

    Thanks for the feedback....

    Wheels are 7 & 9s x 16" RSR finish [Al Reed].

The car really does look good. I did not think the black would grow on me.

    Please keep the comments coming....

Hi Luke. Well, I like your car as it is too, but I'm going to vote for the change over to chrome. I would bet on you really liking the change and the different look will be like having a new car, almost.

Luke, car looks great as is!
I personally think the chrome would be more fitting with the year etc.
S' bumper and lose the ducktail + chrome brightwork = killer, clean hot rod!

    Hi Luke,
Love the car, I dont think I had seen it before.

I would leave the black trim and S bumper -- more fitting of a 73, but you know the school I come from -- the factory did it right the first time.

For asthetic reasons, I would also leave the black. I believe the darker color exteriors bring out the chrome while the lighter colors kinda of lose the chrome. I would think the chrome might not be as noticable with your color -- great color by the way.

    +1 to all this, Luke.

BTW, like your avatar, jetdriver21. Do we have something in common besides 911 ownership?
