    European gauge question

I have a weird Speedo it is in KM but has the 356 style red part on the dial. It came from a 912 as the tach has the same style. Both are date stamped 3.66. I guess my question is did all european 912's have this style gauges? I think from the date stamp that it would be to late to be from a three gauge 912. Any body have any ideas?

    Euro Speedo

    Hi Tony,

The red lines at 50km on your speedo is to remind you of the speed limit in most European towns and cities. Every Euro spec speedo I've seen has had them.
    Hope this helps.

    All the best!

this may sound silly but I always thought that was the minimum speed you could pop it into top gear.
