    Info on unstamped engine case 901 105 111 1R

I need some help figuring out what this came from. I did a search and was unsuccessful.

It's currently in a 2.7 configuration in a 1970 T/RS clone. The fan says "901 106 101 5R". I looked where the engine number is supposed to be and it's blank. I did not look at the case halves yet.

    Thanks for your assistance!

Sounds like a replacement case for a 1969 car.

    Crawled under and looked tonight.

The engine crankcase # is 901 101 101 7R and 901 101 102 7R. The other numbers are I first mentioned are above the valve covers.

I saw a number on one of the bottom rear ribs on one case half - 11 83

The engine number area is unstamped, and I could not find another number on the horizontal segment just posterior to this area (or anterior with regard to the car)

Sounds like a replacement 7R mag case 2.7 engine?

I'd say so. THE best factory Mag case "out of the box," and a replacment one..with the right stamps it can be (almost) "original" ..to your car!
