    Chassis #: 308451S
    Engine #: 961107
    Transmission #: 229306
Paint Code: 6001 – Signal Green
The 6001 is a Lesonal paint code, and this is the only example I know of in this color so far. Very pretty. Phil Bagley has a good reputation I believe.

I love this kind of build - no-one likes hot rods more than me. And I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car like this for my own use. But how do you think hot rodded and performance cars will do in the next few years in the marketplace when, umm, more mature buyers come in? My sense is that the cars that will do the best value-wise will be high-end original and/or authentic cars. True collector cars, in other words. Maybe despite all the money spent and as cool as it is now, a car like this might be worth more as a stock S than in its current configuration?

    What do you think?

If you asked me to guess I'd say that engine does not match that
    chassis number.

I think that's correct, but depending on the hot rod mods, these cars can track along at 75 to 80% of those market values. At least that's why I chose to put a 3.2 in my '72. It hurts ultimate resale a bit, but I get to enjoy it more in the meantime.

Correct. I'd guess in the neighborhood of 307300. I think the correct engine would be about 962100

John,I agree.I think the dynamics of the car market have changed.I do not see returning to the heady days of appreciation we have all seen anytime soon. You mentioned in a different post that hard assets may be a place to be when all this spending spawns an inflation move, but we may have stagflation where prices go up ,but no one has any money to buy those hard assets. So if you are in the car market, original, low mileage ones will be at the top of the list for buyers.

I have seen this car up close many times and she is a real beauty. Trust me, the photos don't do it justice. You must spend some time looking at it and listening to it. Its quite asewome.

Phil and Bruce at Klub Sport have done a great job with it. Its a stunning car, very well presented and no doubt built to their usual very high standard.

It may be they transcribed a number wrong. a '2' in the place
of the first '1' would make it 962107 which is right near your
    guess.

The ad clearly states it's matching numbers.
