    Question guiding arms diffrences 2.2S 2.4S 2.7RS

    hello

    What are the differences between 2.2S 2.4S and 2.7RS guiding arms ?

    references of left guiding arms

    2.2S : 901 331 053 36
    2.4S : 911 331 053 05
    2.7RS : 911 331 053 20

    Models up & including '71 (eg 2.2S) used an M12 bolt for locating the bottom of the shock absorber to the trailing arm.

    '72/'73 T/E/S models used an M14 bolt for locating the bottom of the shock absorber to the trailing arm.

    '73 RS models were as for the 2.4 T/E/S models but had additional welded reinforcement around the outer (hub) end.

    There was yet another (shorter) version of the steel trailing arms developed for the 2.8 RSR models & this was incorporated into the later 2.7RS production models (from chassis number 1409 onwards).

    But why is there some millimeters between 2.2S and 2.4S wheel bases ? (2.2S 2268mms / 2271mms) ?

    how come from the difference of 3 millimeters ?
