Gravity!! Seriously, there is no hold-down. The spare would match your road wheels.

If you have the correct size tire/wheel combination they fit very securely.

Does this apply to 85 litres tank with space saver also?
I´ve mainly seen steelies and some Fuchs.
Did space savers with Fuchs come from the factory or are the later additions?

My 72 S Euro with 85 L tank came with four Fuchs and a steel space saver. As far as I know that was normal.

I'm assuming it was original to the car, but I did not buy the car new. As I recall, been a while since I looked though, the date code on the tank was for 71. If you really want to know I'll take a look again. Also the mounting tabs and parts certainly look original, but again I didn't buy the car new.

85 liter tanks were standard only on European delivered cars.

Hi Nick, yes you're right, and mine was a Euro delivery. Has all of the other Euro features, no charcoal cannister, hard dash knobs (unlabled) and usual Euro options, power windows, rear wiper, and rear fog.
