    Becker amp instal pics

I have recently bought a Becker Grand Prix stereo AM / FM radio with the amp.
I am thinking of mounting the amp behind the passengers floorboard but I need some inspiration on how to go about it.
Has anyone done this excercise of putting an amp behind the floorboard ?
If so would you have some pics pls ?

    TIA,
    Dennis.

    Floorboards

    Dennis:

    This from Charlie White:

    Quote:
Blaupunkt radios going back to the early 1950's had two piece cases. In the early radios, the second case, sometimes known as the "powerpack" (an incorrect technical reference), was a big as the main radio. In very early 356 Porsches, this second case was mounted under the floorboards. As radios miniaturized over this period, the second case got smaller, and was hung behind and slightly below the main case of the radio. Some of the Blaupunkt models during this transition period had up to 3 quarter sized transistors mounted on the outside of the second case (see the picture above).

So, why not just use the standard Becker hangers and mount the second case underneath. Here is a pic of the standard Becker mounting (this a Mexico TR):

    Clyde,

See the second pic above - I have no threaded screw holes in the endplates.
The bracket I have is for a remote mounting ie behind the passengers toeboard.
I have confirmed with Tom Mitchell(Becker NA Classic)that the remote amp is correct for my Grand Prix.
Flunder - thx for the reply.
    Still looking for inspiration...

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

I recently went though this myself with a Mexico.

My solution was pretty low-tech. Honestly, I just positioned it comfortably behind the floorboard and ran my wires. The amp was big enough that it was a snug fit once the board was installed and doesn't slide around or anything ... the pressure holds it in place nicely. So far so good.

I don't remember how I routed the wires.
