Is the roll bar a significant indicator?

Seems to me the roll bar does not compare to 4.5 Fuchs.

Why would one prime a car instead of trying to preserve the originality a bit?

Irregardless, looks OK for a project but the amount of time it has sat around will make many parts unusable or iffy.

That car needs a lot of work... rockers rusty, torsion tube area rusty, floors look weak enough to replace a portion at least. Engine "turns over"???? No 4.5's, but appears to have correct rocker deco.

If the reserve is anywhere near the bin # it probably won't sell (never say never), and if it does, they are going to end up with a heck of a lot of money dumped into it by the time they are done.

I don't think the market supports the restoration of the car if the reserve is somewhere around the bin #. Of course people do crazy things sometimes.

    This car

Two years ago sold on eBay for $18,100. I'm not certain if the winning bidder is the present seller but I'd guess so. Probably looked, to him at least, like a good buy back then what with a bullish market and all.

Not an oem roll bar; radius of bend on main hoop too narrow - should be 24". Also, has gussets between hoop and back braces. Aftermarket.

The owner is Charles Coker and he has flipped several hundred cars to Europe.

He has done car deals with several well known "Early S" guys and MOST of these guys still have a bad taste in their mouth.

Interesting that someone had it for 2 years and all they did was put the loose pieces back on the car. Maybe now it will be restored.

Actually, I updated the pictures. The exception is that in the earlier listing, a photo of the VIN stamp in the trunk was included. I kept that one but changed out four other pictures that showed a better-assembled car. It really didn't change at all (red in the engine compartment/primer gray everywhere else).
