    Speedometer repair vendor

My odometer mileage counter recently stopped working in my 72 T Coupe. I suspect its an odometer gear.

I'm looking for feedback from forum members on who would be the quickest and most reasonable vendor to use to send the speedometer assembly out to.

    Thanks

Alternatively, does anyone know a source for the gears, for someone who wants to attempt a do-it-yourself repair?

    Speedo repair

I have used both North Hollywood as well as Palo Alto Speedometer repair for Porsche gauge repairs and have been totally satisfied with both. They both can not only repair, but they can restore and recalibrate as well as provide you with parts.

+1 for North Hollywood Speedometer. They restored my combo gauge and fuel gauge last Friday. Previously, I have had them customize both tach and speedometer.

Very pleased with the service, price and result.

Ditto here, both were = in quality and turn around.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.

Did it stop around 80,000-85,000? I have seen many cars offered for sale around this mileage range. Mine went out at 82,000 and I fixed it using Project #89 of 101 Projects for your 911. Note, I did not have to replace my gear, I think I just scuffed up the shaft to get a better grip and it is still working today.
