Any thoughts about the use of visco e. (rattle trap, dynamat) sound proofing vs original or combination of the two?

    re: Sound proofing materials

If it is not going to be a track car, I'd go with the Dynamat. It is heavy but does a nice job. I put down a layer of Dynamat on the floors, rear seat buckets and up to and including the package tray area. It went in easily and smoothly. I also laid a piece on the inner sruface of the door skin to quiet down the road noise in that area. even with the Dynamat there is still plenty of rev and rumble to enjoy.

Dynamat Xtreme is lighter and works better than the original.

I would check out what general aviation people use first tho...

It comes down to what you will be using the car for. A combo is best for a street approach. None at all is the best for track use.

I just recently used a product called "quiet car" its a paint on sound deadner. Worked amazing. I have no glass in the car yet so I have no real world testing. But I am excited to get it back together.
