If you mean the "chalk" strips that go on the inside of the fender when mounting it, I bought by the meter from my local Porsche Shop.

Terostat is the product that porsche workshop manual has you use to install rear vent window (exterior) under the trim piece (p b-22 reinstalling #2). It is a non hardening, flexible, black or white, elastomeric "gasket" material. ....i just can not find it

We buy the white Dum-dum by the case for use on our heatsinks. But try and get the Chinese to locate a suitable alternative, you'd think it does not exist.

i think the 3-m is a bit "thick" for a finish application. i have developed the notion that i like isolation in the metal/paint relationship. they do not seem to be not the most loving. i am trying to find a thin "sheet" gasket material to buffer the trim (& other). just tired of rust. again the 3-m is workable but needs finish.

The Porsche part number for terostat tape is 000-043-129-00. Unfortunatly, it does not match what was used originally. It runs $60 for a 5 meter roll.

I found a product called putty tape which matches the original material used. It comes in a 30 foot roll and costs $10 a roll. Found it at my local hardware store. Here is an online link, http://doitbest.com/Sealing+and+duct...sku-232750.dib I use it on the fender, doors, quarter window trim, and tail light buckets.
