Muffler strap length - Dansk vs. Leistritz

Can anyone tell me if there is more than one length available for muffler straps? After switching for a Dansk to a Leistritz I notice that the straps are a little loose.

    Tom,

Yes, there are two length straps available. Pelican and Performance will always ship the longer ones, but the shorter straps (by about an inch or so - made for the 3.2 Carreras, I believe) are still available from Porsche.

Had the same problem when I put an OEM Dansk S.S. two-in, one-out muffler on mine. If you need more info, I can supply part numbers, but need a little time.

That's good to know. I'll check with the parts counter at the dealer tomorrow. If we can't find anything, I'll hit you up for that number. Thanks John!

Thanks Tom. Looking back through my receipts, I bought them from Performance, the part number was 902008 instead of the PET number. They show it as fitting 1965-83,now we know better. I think I'll try the 901.111.011.05 and see how that works.

An update for the archives. Part number 901.111.011.05 was NLA and was superseded by 901.111.157.04. I went ahead and got a pair and they fit perfectly, even though it's an SC number. Thanks for everyone's help.
