    73 RSR Pedal Box

Does anyone have some close up photographs of a 73 RSR twin mc pedal box both in-situ and out of the car, some close up's of the twin ATE fluid reservoirs would also be appreciated.

    Thx

Martin, this is the pedal box, an accurate repro version from Mittelmotor, which includes the chassis piece, in white, which needs welding in. Only 1000 Euro's.

And these are the ate fluid reservoirs, small one from the 356 which you can still pick up but you have to fabricate the brackets now, and as for the big one, good luck!

    cheers, Mike

    Thanks for that Mike.

So it would seem that the original RSR twin bias MC's projected through the bulkhead rather than the more common place twin MC 'replica's which run the two cylinders vertically within the confines of the footwell.

Exactly Martin, which is why most people convert their existing box to twin cylinder inside the footwell, saving chopping about the chassis.

Mike (or anyone) do you know what diameter (AP?) master cylinders were used for the front and back brakes respectively?

    Thx

    Martin - they used a 22mm & a 17mm master cylinder.

Thanks Andy - have you ever driven an RSR/SCR with a twin MC setup, if so what were your impressions on the amount of pedal effort vs pedal movement required to stop the car and would you be comfortable using such a setup (with Turbo calipers) on the road?

Martin - I have driven an original 2.8RSR but it was ~ 15 years ago & I have no idea what the pedal box/master cylinder set-up was ... mostly all I remember about the car was that it was a real pig to drive on the road (on its ancient rock hard 'slicks') !!
