    Esses

What's the chance of getting an online archive of Esses
back issues for (paying) members to download?

    Andy,

This is a good and progressive question....

The S Registry and it's club's news letter have been around for almost 20 years...... So

The ESSES have only recently been digitally composed, edited, and archived. Before that they were 'desktoped' and not archived. And before that they were typed and copied.

Your question is also pretty timely because when someone asks to buy a 'full set' of the past issues we are not sending about 20% because we sometimes have only one physical issue left, and SOME DAY those single issues have to be unstapled, two sided scanned, and two sided copied by hand.

We are only now on the verge of asking for volunteer help to start this effort.

So, yes, from this last year forward we will have this ability as this club is dragged forcibly into the 21 century...... as for the years before.... we're looking for help.

    Cheers

    Chuck-

If you are looking for volunteers, I would be willing to scan and archive the non-digital back issues into PDF format for the web or for digital printing of replacement copies. We have the equipment and desktop publishing software to accomplish it from our little publishing biz, Plowshare Media.

Let me know if I can help.

Bump for an old thread and a question: Will there be any issues published this year?

    teenchy,

If the question is 'any electronic ESSES this year?' the answer is still no... not as yet.

If your question is 'when is the next issue of ESSES being mailed out?'... the answer is very soon.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the update, Chuck.

Though I suppose I should break down one of these days and subscribe to one of the major Porsche magazines, I've found in the brief time I've been a paying member here that 'ESSES' is far more entertaining than any of them.
