    wtb "Wide L" calipers

    Hi....

    Looking for a pair of rebuildable wide-L calipers.

    Anyone?

    Thanks,

    if you mean the ones I think you mean ( for SWB ). why not just have some spacers made and use the solid rotor calipers. it's my understanding they're the same except for the 10mm spacers between the halves.

    I have a set cores of incl. some spacer dog bones (copies that I had made).

    I'll send you a PM later. BTW I would recommend Neunelfer for the rebuild, I was very pleased w/ the result and service.

    There are some major differences between L-Calipers and Wide L-Calipers (search for a thread herein where I have photographic evidence of the comparision):

    Bore = 35mm vs. 38mm
    Fasteners = M6 (common) vs. M7 (unobtainium)
    Spacers (obviously)

    Todd and I had a major chat about these today and this thread is the conclusion. Once you machine the bore, find the fasteners, machine the caliper for the fasteners and make the spacers... you're best off just looking for a set of core Wide L-Calipers.

    Thanks for chiming in Richard, I remember you having a pair. Anyone else out there... we don't need anything perfect, just as long as there's no major pitting. We have pistons and most of the other goodies to get them back together. Clean out your junk drawers! LOL
