    Trimming "S" trim.

    can anyone post a nice closeup shot that shows how the rubber strip end is trimmed. (See my pic below...crappy pic, but you get the idea) I looked through all my reference pics and could not find a good enough shot of this detail. both ends showing the rubber and end cap detail will be perfect...plz.

    I do not have pictures, but can advise that the rubber piece gets cut to follow the angle of the end cap which you did not install yet. You want the end cap to cover a small portion of the rubber.

    I have done this a few times and it is simple.

    Hi Al,

    In case it helps I have added a few pics of ones fitted recently on our resto cars. Use the end cap to obain the correct angle to cut.

    On a 73 car (sorry about the pic)



    This is a better pic but this is on a first 500 RS (but is the same process)
