    Vredestein Sprint Classic 185/70-15 tires @ $100.50

I've been wanting to try these tires after reading the favorable reviews on this site and took the plunge on Thursday of last week. So far, they have exceeded my expectations and I'm very pleased with the ride, grip and look.

As it turns out the new southwest distributor for Vredestein is DFW Performance Tire and is local here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I had seen these tires on two other websites advertised at $139 and $116, but DFW's regular retail price is $100.50 each.

If you guys are interested in getting a set, contact Dan Decker at dan@dfwperformancetires.com or phone him at 817-488-7078.

    Some Questions

    Hi, Mike . . . .

The tires look really good, really compliment the look and ride-height of the vehicle. Some questions:

    1) What's the wheel-width?

    2) What's the ride-height on the car?

    3) Any clearance issues --- at full-lock or through deep bumps?

    4) What's the speed-rating on the tires?

I need to do something with my tires, soon, so I'd like to hear your thoughts.

    Thank you.

    Rick Kreiskott

Thanks, Rick. The wheels are '68 5.5" X 15" Fuchs. The ride height is 25.5" at the front and 25" at the rear measuring the wheel well opening. No clearance issues at all. The tires are H speed rated.

Those look awesome, I'm getting a set of these for next year. Vreds baby.

I have 195 65's now, they're pretty good but I like the vintage look.

Then again, for a "real classic" look, I put the same tire on my chromed steelies, but in the 165Rx15s, also H rated.

I also really like the tires...

Mike- is that vintage plate's message intentional or just a random gem?

Luckily it's both! I couldn't believe it when I found that pair of plates on eBay last year.
