Where to get a new cable housing for the hood release cable?

I recently got a new hood release cable, but the replacement cable is only the thin wire without the exterior cable housing which I also need to replace.

I've been told that I should try a bicycle shop for a cable housing. PET doesn't show the part number so I have no idea where else to look. I really don't want a used one. Any other ideas? Will the bike shop cable housing work?

What you are looking for is like PVC I think but you can buy the sheath material from places like:

That's all there is, there is no outside housing, the cable goes through the metal tube that is welded to the body.

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, my car is an '86 which doesn't have a metal tube. It uses a cable that is sheathed along its entire length. I've turned it into a longhood, so the original cable isn't long enough and the original cable housing is in bad shape.

I appreciate the suggestions.
