260 car Pileup on the German Autobahn on Sunday

10 people critically injured. $2 million in damaged cars. The highway was wet, the sunset was glaring - and everyone was driving way too ****ing fast!!!
I have lived in Germany now for over 5 years, and I like to drive fast too when the conditions are right and the traffic is not heavy. But in this country the people seem to think that they have the god given right to drive like they are participating in some national time trial every time they get onto the on ramp.
I used to think Germans were very good drivers. But sometime in the last 20 years the bar has been lowered significantly.
