    oil cooler mounting details ?

    Hi,
    I got an oil cooler from a late 911 that I would like to fit in my 72. I have everything except the brackets to mounted it on the body. I will remove the right battery box.

    Does someone have photos of both top/bottom brackets for the cooler ? or any measurements ?

    oil cooler mounting details ?

    This is a oil cooler install using the late 911 cooler. The bottom mounting is the late style bracket modified to fit against the early inner fender. The upper mounting is also a late version welded to the back of the headlight bucket. The completed install showing the necessary louvered panel and a blanking plate along the right side to better seal against the early bumper. The louvered panel is necessary to help pull air through the cooler. When fitting the cooler you must make sure to mount the cooler far enough forward to clear the tire when it is turned. This is not the mounting style used on an original 69-73 factory mount. Those coolers had mounting tabs welded on that bolted to a captive nut on the inner fender.

    I got the cooler, lines, louvered panel, but never saw the mounting brackets...
