    72s color

    Anyone here is know for sure how many shades of red color (non-metallic) are available for a 1972 911s ?

    If you discount the oranges, and pink (fraise) I think only one.....Bahia

    The Peter Morgan "Original Porsche 911" book states that for 1972 and 1973 there was also Rose Red (024).

    Rose Red (024) was also known as fraise and as Mike says above it is really pink and should be discounted as a red - I would agree

    here is a picture of the fraise car Nick Moss in the UK was building last year

    If you wanted to go with fraise you certainly would not lose it in a car park

    Of course there was also the possibility of a 'Special Order' colour...

    I remember seeing this '72 model here in the UK a few years ago :



    It was optioned in the unusual colour (I've never seen another) of Light Red - I can only describe it as orange-red with a hint of pink - it really was/is a stunning colour in the flesh.
