Trip to NYC for business. Hey Jerry! Quick trip to the Upper West side. No sign of life. Looks like Jerry is doing some roof repairs from the tarp on top. Doubt this 356 parked in a public garage right across the street was his / or maybe ??

I have NEVER seen any sign of life in or around that garage. I think he uses it not very frequently between the West Coast and the Hamptons. Which is too bad, I would happily volunteer to tune up any car in the garage. (Well, any one with six cylinders made after 1964). . .

The best part besides the cars and the cool lift was the man cave area, with a kitchenette, couches, and flat screen TV. I think I would never leave if I was there.
I sure wish the garage door had been open and I could have had a tour

Better chance on seeing him at the LA/lit show.
From a local source, He does not keep a 'Jay Leno'(total opposite) collection in that small NYC space. Possible 5 cars tops in there. More of an tech/study'Man Cave' as you say. I know a local on the street and he works from home. The place is never, ever open.
Out East, West Coast and some private garages house Mr.Seinfeld's larger than life collection.

As I recall, the the first 911 (901) was built in 63/63, and Jerry has it. It is technically a European market built car. So why are the rear taillights US and not Euro? Also, is that the same car as the photo above of the silver SWB? If so, that one has Euro front turn signals.
It would be hard for me to believe if Jerry spent all of the $$$$ to bring the first prototype back from the dead and have the factory restore it, they would at least match up the lighting? Are these pic's of the same car?
I don't think he owns the building anymore. I walked by a million times HOPING for a glimpse. I thought surely there'd be a maintenance guy shoveling snow who left the door ajar or something! But nothing ... ever. Everyone I talked to said that as far as they could tell he never really used it. I do remember that it took him forever to get it built and approved. I thought I read someplace about the new owner but the details escape me.

Side note: Speaking of unlikely Porsches parked in the city, there's a guy in the village with a red 356 coupe that parks on the street. He's got giant wooden bumpers on the car, I love it!
