    1968 912 Soft Window Targa

Gentlemen I saw the Grey 68 listed on this forum and thought I would list mine as well (VIN 12870924). It's the Sand Beige car that I was asking $25k for. Got a full-price offer for it a couple months ago and got seller's remorse and backed out. Now reality has set in and I have definitely decided to thin out the inventory. (Keeping my 61 Roadster and others)

My car is a very nice driver. The original engine #1284351 and trans #1283763 according to the COA are still in the car. The car starts, runs and drives great.

The colors look terrific on this car. The interior was originally black, now dark tan and in very good condition. The black Targa top is perfect, and the rear window is perfectly clear. Tonneau cover is perfect as well. The paint is shiny and and a strong 7 or 8. The gaps are ok, but not perfect. I cannot tell you if the car has had much rust repair but I can say that there is no evidence of it now.

The chrome wheels are original and in decent shape with a little corrosion. The covers are nice.

All guages work including the clock. In the last couple years I've replaced the brake calipers, pads, hoses and rotors, rejetted the Webers, transaxle mounts, battery, tires, fuel pump, alternator, voltage regulator, generator, plugs and wires. I had the shift linkage adjusted, valves adjusted and carbs adjusted in October. I also put a new rain shield on it.

I have an odometer certification signed by two owner's ago representing the 61,000 miles as original, but of course who knows.

This is a very good car and needs nothing if you want a nice driver. I have been asking $25k but will reduce it to $22,500. Please feel free to contact me for further information or pics. Thanks, John Harris
