    looking for early dash guru...

    I found a new dash in old original Porsche box in an obscure auto junkyard in tennesee while on vacation this week. it stayed there Im guessing because someone had labeled the batch of parts "914 parts", thank God!! inside its labeled dash for 71S and has the dash speaker holes but no removable speaker cover and no dash vents of course. it appears leather and will be examining this morn better and get pics tonight as cams in wifes van at work. the dash is new/old but definately new and beautiful. also not sure how rare but have the dash facia with basketweve vinyl also new in box and its labeled 911S as well as having the 911s badge for the dash. im looking to talk with someone who might help verify its authenticity and establish a fair value. ive personally never seen one new so know NOTHING about these parts but know theyre fairly rare to still have the original box for storage. contact me at scwhite59 at yahoo daught kom. regards all. marco

    I'm pretty sure that the dash with the perforations instead of the removeable grill was the standard replacement for a while - before Porsche issued the poorly fitting version of the removeable speaker grill dash.
