It's a stock color, I would call it "putty" or "ivory" with a touch of grey,(being in the apparel industry), and note that Tom Fender (TFIV) has it in his slate grey 67S.

I'm in NY so I don't have my color books in front of me right now, I can check and confirm back to you the color code and perhaps do a scan. I've probably got the original swatch handy. Note that the color that is the "white" in houndstooth/pepita check is really close so you can use those colors as an insert very nicely. I think my factory fabric book has these linked up to it.

I have just bought a 1970 911T targa, mainly because of the seats (obviously). I am too interested in finding out whether it was possible to pick any interior color back then. My seats are plain white, not ivory or bright grey.




My theory is that the seats were recovered in the eigthties when the rest of the car was rebuilt/destroyed. The back seats and rear shelf are also white. The seats are in good shape, and I hope they can be used as they are, but this requires that it actually was possible to have a new 911 delivered with white seats in 1970. Does anyone know?
