ONE of My Favorite Things About the 911

I always enjoy learning new things about old cars.

Well, being new to porsche and the 911, I have quickly learned something that did not occur to me previously.

Nearly every part of the engine compartment is within easy reach while sitting on my craftsman red roll around shop stool. It is a beautiful thing No bending over fenders with arms that are too short. No back ache after making a repair!! I might have to get rid of some of the american iron!!

    Regards

    Gary

    Nice car, nice seat!

I can see two easy jobs you will be able to do from the comfort of your chair. Overrider clear pastic grommits and rear inner number plate panel seal.

I am looking for a set of four used (I don't think the new ones look right) overrider grommits. Anybody?

    All the best.

    Regards
    Mike

I know exactly what you mean. I can take off the engine lid on my 911 on my own. My chevy truck, however, takes three people. I can always count on a sore back the next day working under the chevy hood. I know your pain Gary.

That's the beauty of SWB cars. . .unfortunately when you get into R&Ring the MFI injection pump on a LWB car. . .every good Porsche mechanic has Advil in the toolbox. . .
