    On any Sunday in Colorado

Thought I would share a few pictures from a drive 4 Durango, CO Porsche 911 enthusiasts took this past Sunday.
231 mi drive over 5 mountain passes, elevations over 11,000 ft, triple digit speeds to 2nd gear sliding corners !

Blue skies and gorgeous scenery. Our mountains of SW Colorado are often referred to as the "Swiss Alps of the US"....perfect Porsche roads !

    Departing Durango : Steven's 1970 911E, Chris's 1970 911E,
    Greg's 1972 911T (3.6), and Ray's 2007 GT3RS

What no pics downtown Telluride in front of the Sheridan Hotel? Those granola crunching organics probably chased you carbon emitting, MFI spewing guys out of town. Not very quickly though, with the 15 MPH speed limit! My father and I will be there Tue/Wed next week on the way back from Monterey. Looking forward to driving some of those same roads Chris.

    Great pics too.

    Chris,

I worked a summer as a geologist for the Forest Service after getting out of UNC in the fall of 2002. I had my 911 out there and drove those roads a lot. I did some mine adit mapping too and usually it lead to some spectacular views!
