    Help with rear bumper-to-body seal

I've got a fiberglass rear bumper for my RS "interpretation". I'm a little lost on whether I have the right seal for where the top of the license plate panel meets the body, and how it's supposed to be installed.

    Is this the right seal?

And is this how it mounts to the bumper?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, you pretty much have it spot on. Since you are using a fiberglass bumper which does not have the rolled bead like that in a steel license plate panel where this seal attaches to, I would suggest a little yellow 3M weatherstripping cement to hold things in place.

When you mount the bumper, make sure to have some ( 2 I believe) of the rubber "fins" pointing up where the seal presses against the painted steel cross brace between the tail lights, & the 3 lower "fins" should point downwards. The seal needs to rest against the cross brace and there should be no visible gap between the rubber seal and body when looking down at the seal with the engine lid raised. That's important for proper airflow in the rear.

    Good Luck
