    Matching #'s question

I checked my engine #'s on my 69 T prior to purchase and everything looked correct. Now,I can't remember how I determined the match. My car is a 69T with VIN # 119120816.The engine is stamped 901/16 18743 and 6195469.Any help would be much appreciated.Thank-you

    Hi,

according to my records your car is a
    911 T US - Karmann
    Engine Type: 901/16
    VIN Range: 119120001-119123561
    Engine # Range: 6195001-6197292

So car #816 and engine #469, which should fit as the Karmann bodies were fitted with two types of engines (901/16 for US and 901/03 for ROW).

    Hope this helps,
    Siegfried

According to my database the engine and VIN are a good match.

I double checked all the #'s.I mis-typed 18743 when it should have been 18742.Apologies to all.
