    Rendezvous Video....

    Has anyone seen the classic 8 minute movie by this French director named Claude LeLouch called Rendezvous? It's supposed to be a Ferrari 275GTB bombing through the streets of Paris circa 1976-1978 at 140MPH with an image stabilizing camera mounted to the front. This has to be the coolest thing I have ever seen, and the engine note.....WOW!
    The question I have from starting to dig into this is story is that it wasn't actually a Ferrari, but a Mercedes sedan and an engine dub over. Does anyone know the real story on this?

    This is a very well known story of a Frenchamn that used his Mercedes and later dubbed the Ferrari sound. If you look again you'll notice that the sound doesn't match the images. However, be warned that once you found out it isn't as much fun to look at it again.

    He had "guards" with "walkie-talkies" on some of the more dangerous spots and at one time he lost contact while coming up to a dangerous crossing. Instead of lifting he says he just went for it and was very lucky.
    At the end of the movie he honked once and his girlfriend comes walking to the car.

    Once you know the magic, the fun is over.
