    Hello all

Looking for engine 901639 (or failing that I suppose eventually I will consider anything close!)

It's from 6/65 car, Ruby Red, chassis 301538. Which I have.

And I also have the engine that is currently in that car. From a '68 number 3080349. If anyone knows where that belongs, would be great.

Just curious why you think the last number is a 5? From the picture it is clearly a 6...........

I recently purchase a 1969 912 sight unseen that had a six install at some time. After getting the car shipped to the shop I found out it has a engine number of 900484, it would be nice to get the engine back to the original car or at least a period correct car that needs an engine. I am sure that there will be a lot of questions that I cannot answer due to my lack of Porsche tech savy but I will do my best. I am currently having the engine removed from the car for further inspection.
