    Question Snow Tires

I installed Blizzaks on my '79 SC Targa last Fall and drove it all Winter. It was great in the snow. Well, due to laziness more than anything, the snow tires are still on there.

And - Wow! - does the car ever corner great!

They are super soft in this 90 degree weather and stick to the road like I'm driving on tar. I think the 'ol SC Parts Hauler could out-corner my other cars with the Blizzaks on there.

There must be a downside - what is it?

    Cheers,

If memory serves me, the Blizzaks are multi compound and get harder and harder as they wear.. And in 90 degrees they wear fast... Have fun while they last..

+1 what bob said, improved snow traction comes from a softer rubber .
it will wear off faster in the summer, thus negatively affect winter performance.
