    WTB: Knee Pads

    For my '70 Signal Orange Coupe. A fellow board member advises me that the air conditioning panel in the car is after market so it has to go. If anyone has an AMC Pacer I'd be glad to send you the a/c panel - might look good in that.

    YOur friend is absolutely right. Those a/c kneepads on your spectacular 70E are cheesy looking. It's like a cold sore on beautiful woman's lips...

    That is part of the dealer or POE installed "Cool-Aire" system. Not near as nice looking or engineered as true "factory air," the first thing many do when they get a car with such a system is tear it out. That's what I did on my '72S some years back. There are some remnants of the installation left after ripping everything out but they are generally not too objectionable.
