    I couldn't understand why my eyes were watering and I was feeling woozy while I was watching them warm it up.

    I asked the mechanic what fuel they were running.......85% methanol, 10% nitromethane, 5% acetone, and a dash of fuel oil to lube the superchargers. No wonder Nuvolari had respiratory failure after lapping behind these monsters!

    That 154 was babied around LRP. I do not think anyone can toss those pre-war beasts like they used to.

    I had to see(in person) the MB 154 in honor of driver Richard 'Dick' Seaman. As a young one I never forgot the stories and his last drive in 1939 at the old Spa course in the very wet in that same 154.
