Thread: Slow Server

    Slow Server

    Friends:

Is it just me, or is the server really slow on this forum? I'm a newbie here, and it takes forever to post a reply, open a thread, etc. Other forums (Pelican, etc.) operate far more quickly. I asked on the Help forum but got no response...

    Maybe it's a Frank thing

No, it's not just you Frank. I too have been wondering why it's so slow.

Surely something can be done to fix it??????
    Cheers!

    Re:Computer Server...This is not a complain...

Frank...mine is slow as well...our server is probably working pretty hard..I think our computer/system adm. person is helping us more or less on sparetime so I didn't wann'a be a PITA....sometimes it is really slow and I'm doing repeated "disc-clean" on my end, w/o improvements...I "give up" sometimes and come back later ....it probably is related to cost as well....Please don't take this as a complaint...I don't understand enough about this stuff, but if I could do anything I would...just my .02.../ Lars...

It's never been quick for me. Seems a trifle slower, but I'm used to it.

I'm with Lars, no reason for me to complain. And, I'm not paid up. But that's another story that I'll only share off line.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

I must agree, I have been meaning to say something for quite awhile, the site seems very slow. Hope something can be done

I don't know if it's an option but I'm more then happy to supply server space and all the necessary stuff the host and run the website.
Only side effect that it is in The Netherlands then...

    Sorry guys,

Web master Mike Larson is on it ......

I'm on the site so often that I kind'a get used to it ... like a 'driving around' the quirks of an old race car..... But then I think of all the minutes in the day I'd be saving if the thing would load faster....

We'll see what we can do......

Cheers and thanks for the support
