    removing paint from fuchs

    Is there a product that will remove paint from fuchs w/o damaging the anodized alum.? Thanks for your help

    I had a Soda Blaster do mine... Hard to remove just the paint and NOT any of the clear. Bob

    In for a penny... in for a pound. Hard to remove in the first place let alone without damaging the anodizing underneath. I've successfully used:

    Soda
    Plastic and
    Acid

    The later needs to be done by someone who really knows what they're doing and... all take off or damage the anodizing layer.

    Aircraft paint stripper can do a good job but as the others have stated, come one come all pretty much.

    I've removed the paint successfully on three sets of Fuchs now with aircraft stripper. It takes several applications but never, ever has it removed the anodizing. I wish it did since in each case I was going to bare metal. It would have saved me the Easy-off oven leaner step.....
