Looking for a poster (early '70s) that might have been in the dealerships. Simple poster with a 911 on it. I'm not even sure such a thing existed - never have seen one. No racing posters. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Steve, good morning.
The info you've posted is very vague... Maybe I (or other fellow member) can help you identifying this poster you're looking for (and maybe even get you a picture of it!) but I'd need some more info about what you may remember: car color, background etc...
Let me know, ok?

I've actually never seen one but am assuming there were posters that the dealers had or hung up just like you would see in today's showrooms or behind the parts counter. I'd like to frame one and put it in my "office".
Just a simple picture of a longhood (preferably orange). Thanks.

Steve,
There are not very many different showroom poster designs produced by Porsche during the longhood era, especially when compared with the multitude of racing poster graphics printed.
To see the showroom posters printed by Porsche have a look at Tony Singer's book online: http://ipaperus.ipaperus.com/eLab/vi...owroomPosters/
Finding any showroom poster at a reasonable price (under $500) will be very difficult. Two alternatives would be to look for a racing poster (still not cheap, but more common) or keep an eye out for factory calendar photos. They're not nearly as large (usually 23x18) as the posters from that era but they are inexpensive, plentiful and cheaper to frame.
Hey Carl, that's a great book!
I've never seen some of the posters there.
Is there a printed version for sale?
Thank you so much!

Frank Barrett at Toad Hall should still have a copy or two of Tony's book: www.toadhallbook.com
