    Side Glass in SCRS

    The SCRS parts manual shows the glass all has 954 part numbers.

    Does anyone know if these cars were fitted with 'thin' glass?

    Chris - from memory the glass was made by Sekurit (~3.5mm as opposed to 5mm for std glass).

    SCRS glass

    Yes Thin,
    also clear with no tint, and the rear window has defroster wires on 1/2 of the glass. If you would like i can post some photos of the logo.

    911 SC RS, glass info

    954, all glass is thin, 3.12mm +/- , clear no tint, rear side windows fixed (not the pop out frames), and the rear window is a single stage (defroster). The photo was taken from the rear right side glass, 954 543 101 00.

    Is this light weight glass? See how the defroster lines start approx. 4" down from the top and end 12" from the bottom. Think it's for a SCRS? It is installed on one of my '69S coupes that was modified in Europe for hill climbs, so go figure.

    911 SC RS, glass info

    you have a single stage window, the SC RS logo is in the lower left corner, a photo of the logo...
