WTT: Yellow Bosch H4 Lenses for Clear Ones

    Hi guys,

I'd like to trade my YELLOW Bosch H4 lenses for a set of CLEAR ones.

Condition is USED but no cracks, nicks or chips - just regular road use - my car is a driver.

Looking for a set in similar condition - No cracks, nicks, chips, dips, dents etc. but in CLEAR.

    Ciao,
    n.

If you don't have any joy your side of the water I am pretty sure I have at least two pairs of clear LHD ones available.

    Regards

You can also always 'make your own'. Just get a can of yellow Krylon Transparent Glass Spray Paint. You'll probably find it at Michaels.

Spray the inside of the lens, the more paint you use, the darker the tint.

I've know a bunch of guys who've done this, you can't tell the difference.

How does the Krylon hold up from the heat of the bulb? Also, wondering why you didn't just paint yours if you can't tell the difference?
    Thanks,
    Bobby

    Hi Bobby,

from what I've seen there's no problem with the heat and the Krylon. I know of several guys who've been running it for years.

Also, I was the one who wanted to trade Yellow lenses for Clear ones. The trade didn't go through because upon taking the yellow lenses off my car I noticed a hairline crack that was underneath the chrome trim ring.
My suggestion on how to re-create the French lenses was meant as an alternative to purchasing Yellow NOS Hella lenses.

    Ciao,

Yes, my bad. You already had yellow. I may try the Krylon trick. I've got a clear set laying around.
    Thanks
