Beautiful 1968 in Christie's magazine ad - EarlyS member?

    My wife and I were staying at a B & B and I saw a June/July magazine titled "Garden & Guns".

    http://gardenandgun.com/article/southern-roads

The "Southern Roads" article caught my eye (imagine?). Flipping throught it, the inside cover had an ivory Speedster and about 10 pages in I saw this ad:

Really shows off the pure lines of the SWB nicely I think. That US ride height, on the other hand......

    Okay, I'm a little biased for a 68......

    Fess up, anyone here? Congrats!

    Wink Christie's

God, I've been working for Christie's for many years and was not aware of this ad, very nice indeed. A shame we closed our car department a few years ago, but they still support a 911 rallye car from time to time:

I`ve never seen a black SWB before, that looks to be a beauty.

Let`s hope someone owns up and delivers more pictures.

Thankyou Mike.... and after I posted it occurred to me that James` SWB (gone but not forgotten) may have been black. I seem to remember seeing just one photo a long time ago and wouldn`t know where to start looking.

Black is now my favorite colour for a SWB.

    Regards, Mike.

Glad you liked it. Yes, James's car was black too.
