Hmmm. Close to this, but not quite...
'69-'71S oil cooler

1968 911 Ossi Blue coupe...full restoration in process
Done: Engine; transmission; suspension; gauges; wheels; rust repair & primer; brakes; paint
In progress: electrical; the tedious, endless, horrible fastener sorting/plating
EarlyS #718 | RGruppe #437
Is it standard 911R or prototype 911R?
Looks bench made.

Looking for engine 960 168
Looking for gear box 103 165
The above photos are the right side cooler taken out of 11899013R prior to restoration. This cooler was not reused due to damaged threads.
The Prototype 911R, 307670 (yellow car) had/has this same style of coolers when I saw it in Monterey.
11899008R and 11899020R has/had the same cooler on left side, right side of #8 was unknown, and the right side of #20 was missing.
The Nov. 67 911R parts book lists, 901.107.045.00 for the left, and 901.107.046.00 for the right.
The 69-71 911S cooler uses the same part number as the right side R, but as the link above shows the squared end Behr cooler, and not the home made looking one. Both types are the same overall size.
Raj post some photo's of your cooler.

Hey Ernie,
this is neither here nor there but when I was in Monterey I was talking to Sam C. and all of a sudden he said: "Hey, aren't you an R Gruppe member?" I said "Yes, why?" Then Sam pulls out your R Gruppe name tag and says: "I found this lying on the ground next to a Porsche, can you give it back to him?"
I forgot to whom I passed your name tag on, they were fellow R Gruppe members, but I hope you got it back...
Ciao,
n.
Thank You Nick, got it back.
Made My Day...
This cooler is sold by Classic & Speed Parts, it looks the part for an R build, it's clean, new, and high quality. I'll be using 2 for my R project. Still working on the Argus lines, and R oil tank.
