Need a Couple of Small items

I need whatever nut/fastener holds the windshield wiper arms to the cowl. And I bought a shifter knob from one of the members but it has no threads inside of it. Am I missing a piece?
    Thanks

Yes you are missing a piece and it is still available from the dealer.

Only early cars have threaded shift knobs [up to 68?]. Later cars have a metal crush sleeve that holds the knob in place.

I think the crush sleeve is no longer available...

    Pelican has the sleeve.
