Q: whats de difference hella 139 and 169?

what year is correct for each? and how to tell difference between driving light and fog light?

I have seen differences in the mounting, but I do not know if it is specific to the 139 or 169. For instance, there is a rear mount post on my 169's (marked 169 on lens, but 139 on inside label) and I have seen identical type lights that has one at mounts on the top. Ironically, the Hella box my came in (139) had a picture of the top mount. See below There are many discrepancies, and I think that ultimately, you need the ones with the rear post to fit lights after the 128s.

As far as the fog/driving lights, this is dependent on the lens. I have only seen fog lenses for this style.

I have a 1972 911T that does not have the S front spoiler. I'm still confused by the correct model under the bumper Hella fog light. Is it the Hella 169? Or the 139?
