    fender joining plate NOS

Need this for the driver side. Actually, I could use a repro ,I think, if it is the threaded type plate and not the clip type used in later applications. Thanks, Cliff

    Cliff,

If you can't find one, and still wish to remain original, search for Robmorg? as he replaced the speed nut mounting points to a repo panel.

Hope that helps, with another option.

    how i did it

    cliff,
all new fender joining panels have the speed nuts.
i was lucky and found a NOS for the passenger side.
they are out there but rare.
i was going to patch mine and then i got lucky.
the driver's side was really bad and couldn't be patched.
i cut and saved the "T" nuts from the original.
i purchased a new panel from performance parts
i patched the square holes and the spot welded on the saved "T" nuts
    over the round holes. (obviously).
it worked out great and looks original.
yo tony, i was just down under, a layover from a PNG dive trip.
    can't get enough of oz!

Glad you enjoyed your stay in Oz Rob.

And PNG has some of the best dive sites in the world.

I'm very impressed with the way the paint's come out on the car, i'm not too far behind you, just have to get some time at home to finish my suspension pan and patch my fenders.

I'd love to try to do the paint myself, but i've never swung a gun in my life.

Now get back out in the garage, and finish buffing that car.
