Does anyone know this 1974 3.0 RS?

    Hi,

I'm looking for 3.0 RS experts who might know anything about the history of this particular car:

I know what's in the Starkey book, which only contains the original delivery info.

Please PM me if you can help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Guru,

That was the factory press/photography car, right?

The last time I saw this car it was for sale in Europe, can't remember where.
It was painted red and looked quite tired.

Basically a 2.7 rs but boosted to 3 liters. cars had newer bumpers but were built in the older long nosed chassis. they had a transmission oil cooler and a 2 front oil coolers . 917 brakes . These were homologation specials about 50 built. I drove one when they were new and it was fantastic. they were slower than the 2.7 in a straight line but cornered better. same size tires as the 2.7 but on 7 and 8 in. rims as P7's had not yet come out.

Ok. Based upon what I've been told by members so far, the car I need to find out more about is not the Auto Motor und Sport cover car in my first post and Christophorus car in Carl Bauer's posts, as I was originally told. That appears to be car 25, the press car.

The car I am interested in is number 45, delivered originally in Düsseldorf according to Starkey.

Does anyone know anything about the history of that car?

    Thanks again, Guru
