    Is the opening on a '68 split like it is on a '67? The grille that Tom has in the picture is one I'm familiar with for a '67 but the engine lid on my '68 Softie does not have the split opening with the bar in the middle. Maybe the lid was replaced?

    Thanks,
    JohnA

    Thanks Bob.

    I'm looking for the later grille. It doesn't have to be concours, maybe 7-8/10.

    Cheers,

    John;
    this one has surface rust on the edges & possible minor kink in the corner as seen in photo #4. no evidence of damage or repairs. repainted at least once. dark spots are an earlier color showing through (Aubergine?) solid piece.
    thanks again
    best
